Ingredients:

  • American Tallow
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp American Tallow
  • Salt, pepper, optional cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook bacon; set aside.
  2. In American Tallow, fry diced potatoes.
  3. Crack eggs into pan; cook to desired doneness.
  4. Sprinkle with bacon and cheese.

Founding Father's Flapjacks

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 tbsp melted American Tallow (plus more for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients; add wet ingredients.
  2. Heat American Tallow in skillet.
  3. Pour batter, cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook through.

Heartland Hash

Ingredients:

  • American Tallow
  • 3 russet potatoes, shredded
  • 1 small onion, shredded
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp American Tallow

Instructions:

  1. Squeeze water out of potatoes and onions.
  2. Heat American Tallow in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Press potato mixture into pan in a thin layer.
  4. Cook until crispy and golden, flip, and repeat.
  5. Season generously.

Benjamin Franklin's Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • American Tallow for frying

Instructions:

  1. Soak chicken in buttermilk 4–6 hours.
  2. Mix flour and spices.
  3. Heat American Tallow to 350°F.
  4. Dredge and fry chicken until golden and cooked through.

Ingredients:

Ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup American Tallow (chilled)
  • 6–8 tbsp ice water

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour and salt.
  2. Cut in American Tallow; add water gradually.
  3. Chill dough before using.

American Dream Pie

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter or American Tallow
